Highway Productions was founded in 1999 as a personal enterprise by producer Yorgos Lykiardopoulos, co-operating during its first years with one of Greece’s largest film distributors. Since 2003, Highway Productions ventures independently producing short and feature films, participating in international festivals and selling its films in various territories worldwide.
Due to the magnitude of the projects produced, the company developed in 2007 into a limited partnership, officially titled G. Lykiardopoulos & Co, but maintaining the same market-recognizable distinctive title, Highway Productions.
The company has also been active in theater since 2004, producing a steady flow of ground-breaking and artistically high-end theatre performances, as well as organizing multi-cultural festivals.
